Boss
BF-3 Flanger
If you're a guitar player,
chances are you own a BOSS effects pedal. In addition to superb
sound and tonal flexibility, each and every BOSS pedal features
a heavy cast metal case, built
to endure the rigors of life on the road. What's more, they
don't need a lot of juice to bring magic to your music. With a
9-volt battery or BOSS AC adaptor, you're armed and
ready to rock.
Over the past few generations, flangers have become a staple
of virtually every player's effects arsenal. Perhaps best
described as a swirling space-age sweep of sound, a flanging
effect is produced by combining the original signal with an
electrically delayed signal. If you're a flange fan, then the
little purple pedal is no stranger to your stage set-up.
The BOSS BF-3 gives guitarists and bassists an updated
version of the classic BOSS BF-2. Use it to enhance clean rhythm
passages or connect it to a distortion unit for some remarkably
radical effects.
Features:
- MANUAL,
DEPTH, RATE and RES (resonance) knobs which allow you to tailor a
variety of cool sounds, from dynamic jet-plane effects to short
delay, chorus and vibrato sounds
- New ULTRA
and GATE/PAN modes for ultra-fat flanging with very low
noise
- MOMENTARY
mode turns flanging on instantly
- Tap tempo
adjustable via pedal
- Independent
Guitar and Bass inputs and stereo outputs.
Features common to all BOSS pedals:
All BOSS
compact pedals feature an LED light
that lets you know your battery's got plenty of juice and your
pedal's got plenty of power. The knobs
are recessed
from the pedal so you can step on the effect without messing
up your settings. And, silent
switching
means you won't click when you kick. BOSS compact pedals are
color-coded so you know at a glance what you are stepping on.
They also have a battery compartment that opens without a
screwdriver. You simply undo a thumbscrew on the back of the
pedal, lift up the pedal plate, change the battery, and you're
set. Nice.
