HST is upon us - July 1, 2010
The HST is replacing the GST and PST in Ontario. The good news is
that music lessons will continue to be tax exempt. It's all good news, since there
are no changes to the tax charged on any music store products and service.

March break rocked with the LIVEJAM Workshop!
Students enjoyed collaborating with other musicians and building on skills acquired in
their lessons. The band learned a Beatles and a Ramones song plus a jazz/rock tune and a blues jam. Band members went home

Instructor Neil Hendry - new album due out
this Christmas
Neil was born into a musical family. Son of Hugh Hendry (1944-1994), guitarist for the
Saskatchewan folk band the Prairie Higglers, Neil shares his father's passion for
songwriting, singing and playing. Neil is a superb guitarist and valued teacher in his

Instructor Patrick Bailey - music with a

He's the main composer and lyricist - his band cranks out original songs, refreshing
in style and sound. Humanity's relationship with nature is their springboard for
inspiration. The band is full of talent including former Allegro instructor Ed Vitton and

Goodbye to Herman Mallinger, February 3, 2006
All of us at Allegro Music mourn the passing of
Herman. He was the previous owner of the store and close
friend. He was a sweet, gentle man who
enjoyed every minute of his life. He was
loved by all his students, fellow musicians and the community ...
truly a man that will be missed by all.
