Each year we help hundreds of adults and children get a great
start in playing a bowed instrument. We'd like to help
you too!
Bowed instruments are violins, violas, cellos and double basses.
You play them by drawing a bow across the strings, or
by plucking or tapping the strings. You can learn to play country,
pop, Celtic, rock, calypso, jazz, Klezmer, classical and every
musical style in-between! If your goal is to play a bowed instrument
with an orchestra (maybe at your school), you would be
sitting in the String section shown in red.
